Singing in the rain

Me: "I totally did the dance from singing in the rain out there & there was no camera to catch it."
Laila Jean: "There was no rain either!"
Me: "You can't tell in photos."
Laila Jean: *shrugs* and *laughs*

Dance floor discussions

As we bumped and swayed to the hip hop beats, the song changed to a more reggae beat. The lyrics were clearly Jamaican and yet:

Laila Jean: "Hey, what are they saying? You should understand, you're half Guyanese."
Me: "They're singing in Jamaican asshole!"

Sober kids in India

"Drink up! There are sober kids in India.."
LJ: Those kids NEED to stay sober!

Commitment and Laila J

While Shaima was explaining to us a place that has recently been deemed "No Bueno" my response was:

"oh? and we'll leave it at that..."

When we hear a little voice from the front came forth with.... Why?

Upon hearing the answer I again retorted with:

"oh? and we'll leave it at that...   Laila that's when you say 'Why' or 'How'"

"What?"

"I'm 'oh' you're 'why'"

"Can I be 'oh'" questioned LJ

"No, you committed to 'why' now COMMIT!"

"But 'oh' is sexier..."

The World as We Know It?

Without any warning LJ let this gem loose:

"The world is a different place in tight pant."

Hint - Fries Were Involved.

We'll leave this one to interpretation....

I really need to stay in my pants tonight.

You Only Have to Run Faster than Your Friends

Shaima retold this story:

Laila Jean and Shaima were walking on the bridge one night, the only two souls in the street.  Then Shaima realized that a man was following them.  Being the caring friend she is she warned LJ that someone may be following them.  LJ heeded the warning and left Shaima in her dust to ward off the perfect stranger by herself.  Come to find out it was just a little old man, who meant no harm.

Laila Jean's response to the tale was pure laughter.  When we told her she has no shame she said:

"I'd do it again."
